Because the fiberglass shell is manufactured offsite and comes to your project site complete, most shell installations take 2-3 days. the remaining portions of your project will vary based on many factor, on average our standard fiberglass pool installation will take anywhere from 3-6 weeks to complete.

The gelcoat surface of a fiberglass swimming pool makes pool ownership a breeze. The virtually non-porous surface of the gelcoat makes it very difficult for algae to start growing. This allows you to spend more time in your pool and less time maintaining your pool!

It is true that there is a small chance that a fiberglass swimming pool could pop up out of the ground. This is information that is usually put into a prospective clients head by another pool company trying to sell another product and is using scare tactics to sell their product or something seen on the internet. This is also true of concrete and vinyl swimming pools.
Shells pop due to a lack of education about how to properly handle a fiberglass swimming pool. Shells pop out of the ground when the force being applied outside of the pool overcomes the force of the water inside of the swimming pool. This is usually a combination of heavy rains/groundwater and a pool owner that decides to drain their pool at an inopportune time.
At Paradise Outdoor Living, we do everything that we can to prevent this from happening, including the installation of a de-watering system with access for a sump pump to pump away all that excess water. We also only use washed gravel in our backfill, which allows the water to flow freely to the de-watering system around your swimming pool. Most importantly is that we are always available for you to consult regarding the proper times to drain your pool to ensure that this does not happen.
